Moscow State Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation ((ロシア語:Московский государственный технический университет радиотехники, электроники и автоматики), romanised: ''Moskóvskiy Gosudárstvennyy Institut Radiotekhniki, Elektroniki i Avtomatiki'', often abbreviated MIREA) is a Russian technical university in the field of radio technology, electronics, cybernetics and automation. ==History== MIREA was established in 1947 for extramural energetic engineers education. In 1967 it was transformed to a regular university. New buildings for the university were built in the south-west part of Moscow in 1976-1989. MIREA gained technical university status in 1993. In 2007 first bachelor and master programs were introduced. In 2013-2015 MIREA merged Moscow State University of Instrument Engineering and Computer Science, Russian Research Institute of Technical Aesthetics and Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technologies.
